Japanese and Spanish share linguistic similarities. Despite being from completely different language families, both languages have a consistent pronunciation system. When I travelled to Japan, people often told me that my pronunciation in Japanese was very good and there is an obvious reason for this.
The vowel sounds in Spanish and Japanese are roughly the same: *A, E, I, O, U.*
Both languages have five vowel sounds and this makes it much easier for Spanish or Japanese speakers to learn how to pronounce the words correctly . Unlike English which has around 20 vowel sounds, Spanish and Japanese vowel sounds are quite simple to pronounce.
If you are learning one of these languages, consider how your native language can help you improve ;)
