Hey Everyone!!
I've noticed during my reading lessons that most students have trouble remembering how to properly pronounce the ending -ed sound in words.
So, I'm going to go over how to properly pronounce the ending -ed sound.
There are 3 different ways to pronounce the ending -ed sound.
1. "-id"
2. "-t"
3. "-d"
Here is a chart to help explain:
Reference: (https://www.englishclub.com/pronunciation/-ed.htm)
So the sound you make all depends on the ending sound of the base (main) verb.
Here are some more examples:
1. I hated the way she spoke. (-id)
2. I wished he would just go away. (-t)
3. I begged my mom to leave. (-d)

If you're interested in working on improving your pronunciation, take a look at my reading lesson!! I have several different books of different levels and styles to use, or we can use a book/article of your choice.

Have a great day!!
