'Living in the present moment, to create your perfect future'

2017年11月8日

A wise man once told me :

‘Discontentment comes when we fret about decisions made in the past, or worry about the future’

As we can only control the present moment, worrying about the past or future is a battle you are not going to win.

Whilst it is important to live your life in a way which gives you the best chance for a great future - remember that tomorrow may never come, and that you never know when your life will come to an end.

It is therefore important to live in the present as fully, and consciously as possible. Enjoy every moment. Do not live a life of suffering, stress and discomfort because you are wanting to ‘potentially’ have a great future in 10 years due to these efforts.

No one plans when they are going to die, and it could be next week, next month, or even today.

If you knew you were going to die in 3 years from today, would you be happy with what you have achieved?

How would you live your life differently?

Do you feel your relationships with friends, loved ones, and even strangers would be different?

Would you perhaps learn a new skill you have always wanted to learn?

Take part in activity you have always wanted to try, but never found the time?

Travel the world?

Do something which scares you, but yet excites you at the same time?

Something which makes you feel truly alive.

It is important to ask yourself these questions from time to time, and listen to the answers and emotions that arise in your own mind.

‘Be content with what you have. Rejoice in the way things are. When you realise there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you’
