IELTS Band Scores explained.

Band Score 5 - Modest English - Has partial command of the language but makes frequent errors and is not able to use complex language.

Band Score 6 - Competent English - Uses English effectively with some errors, can use some complex language.

Band Score 7 - Good English - Has a good command of English with few errors and is able to use complex English well, most of the time. 

Band Score 8 - Very Good English - Complete command of English with almost no errors and uses complex English well.                              

Band 9 - Expert level of English - Complete command without errors, is accurate, appropriate, flexible, and fluent with full understanding.
