I hope everyone is ok!

2018年6月19日

The earthquake in Kansai yesterday was pretty crazy!
Luckily we were laying down at the time (I was just checking my schedule for the day and about to get up for a run!) but suddenly we felt the building shaking.
Within a second or two, the emergency alerts on our phones were going off which made it feel like a disaster movie!

Strangely the lights turned on in the room also. I have no idea why this would be!?

We have experienced earthquakes in Japan before, but none quite so big as this.

I hope no one reading this is hurt, and 'touch wood' (British idiom) your family and friends are all safe.

Be careful of aftershocks!
We felt some last night but they weren't so big fortunately.

We were hoping to get out to the mountains today, but not only is it forecast to rain, I have also had kind warnings from students and friends telling me that there is the possibility of landslides.

So instead - I am having a half day in which I will be available online (feel free to contact me if you would like to do a lesson) and also getting many importants things on my 'to do list' completed!
I have been quite slack lately with all of the training and travelling, but I have no excuses today.

At 4 or 5pm we will stop working and probably go out in to Nara.
I have no clue what we will do, but I'm thinking -

A) if it's not raining - gardens, and chill out in the Deer Park
B) If it is raining - KARAOKE!
C) Whether it is raining or not - SUPERMARKET/ VEGETABLE SHOP!
Yes I am one of those sad people who enjoys food shopping! Back in the UK friends would laugh about how excited I get about fresh fruit and vegetables.
I think this is one of the side effects from living a healthy 'plant based' lifestyle for the past 14 years!
I love the way I feel when I eat this way, and who doesn't love feeling GREAT! :-)

See the excitement in my facial expression!!!! Haha
Here I am eating a butternut squash salad at the top vegan restaurant in London. This was taken the week we left the UK for Japan. I actually worked in this restaurant for around 6 months, before realising I wanted to move in to a different career path. Many celebrities and athletes visit this restaurant, and it is voted number 1 in the UK year after year.

Take care everyone and have a comfortable week!!!
