We talked about tip and server culture at the U.S.restaurants.
I found out that tip and server culture are closely related each other.
When I struggle with speaking, she properly waits for me to speak again. It helps me.
And also it's good that I can review the topics in Japanese at the end of the class.

We talked about the US school system.
It was hard to understand the system because there is a big gap compare to that in Japan.
What I found interesting was that it's pretty flexible system depends a student.
When I struggle with talking about the first topic for me to talk, she always gives me time.
I can think about it in a state of feeling relieved.

She told me about the US age restriction cases. What I found interesting was that there is a age restriction,
when parents leave their child home. I found out that age restriction for movie is more intricate.

I had her tell me about seasonal expression "freeze".
What I found interesting in the class was the US has a car and city service for removing accumulated snow.
See you next time.

I got a new expression "couldn't have better".
Japanese people aren't familiar with this one and it would take a while to get use to it.
However, I want to learn it with trial and error.

Good talking with you.
During conversation I tend to pack a lot of information into one sentence,
I will try to divide it into multiple sentences and get each sentence simple.
Have a happy new year!

See you next time.

I had her teach expressions meaning muscle pain/tension.
I found out that depending on the degree of pain there are several expressions.
And also different expression is used depending on the person.
I felt I need to use them many times to get used to it.
Jul 21, 2017
I had her teach the difference between "a lack of" and "short of".
It was hard to understand first because it was the nuance.
But I felt like I knew the background each has.
Thanks and see you next time.

This time, we talked about a learning English seminar I attended and a host guy.
I couldn't use a proper phrase that meant "悩む".
I had her tell some phrases and teach that we need to choose a phrase based on a context.
And also I got another meaning of a word I already know.
Thanks, see you next time.

We talked about my business trip to San Diego.
We was exited talking about a variety of topics like weather, a famous hamburger restaurant, airshow
and a film shooting restaurant in certain movie I went.
And she told me a example way of exercising to improve speaking.
Thank you and see you next time.

I had a great time talking to you for the first time in a while.
This lesson, I had her explain about a way of using "text".
I would be careful how to use the word from now on.
See you next time!
Mar 25, 2017
I had her teach about difference of some verbs that mean 「参加する」.
Especially I misinterpreted "join" and I tended to use "join" simply, when I just wanted to say 「参加する」.
At this lesson, I felt like I learned the core image "join" has.
From now on, I want to separate these verbs with thinking the difference.

We talked about the power outage occurred in where she lives.
I felt it was too serious situation because where she lives seems very cold place(negative degree in most of the time during winter).
And also we talked about the U.S politics.
I'm not good at talking about it very well because it's hard to talk my own view on it and my expression about politics is limited.
I would say it is going take time to get use to it but give it a try.
I look forward to a next lesson.

Today, We talked about my Hakata trip, dialect, food and women and so on.
I had a great time with talking to you so many things with forgetting the time.
She recommended Nagasaki as a good trip place.
If I have a chance, I want to go there!
See you next time.

In today's lesson, I accidentally responded "Yes" to her question "No fever?".
I was pointed it out and had her explained about it.
The response of negative question is one of topics we are terrible at.
I would say the only way to get used to it is try it over and over again.

We talked about my Osaka trip and the difference in school system between the US and Japan.
She talked about that in English but it was hard to understand it first because there were a big gap between both.
So I had her explain it in Japanese again then I ended up being able to manage to understand.
I would say that the US school system is more flexible than Japanese one.
It is worth for me to talk to people who live abroad because I can get a variety of something I don't know yet.
Jan 13, 2017
I had her explain me about difference between "could" and "might" and difference between "be likely to" and "seems".
I found out the fact that both were subtle difference and it was a little hard to get them immediately.
I felt it took a while to learn them but I think I will get used to it little by little.
