課程介紹
This Simple Debate lesson pack is designed for intermediate to advanced English learners, helping you build critical and creative thinking, as well as debate skills. Together we'll explore thought-provoking topics, such as "Is social media good or bad?" through structured debates. Each lesson will cover a different topic, and you can choose the theme for each lesson (General, Fun & Lighthearted, Ethical & Social or Current Events & Global), or I will choose for you. You will also have the opportunity to come up with your own topic for one of the lessons (if you choose to).
Throughout the 4 lessons, you'll steadily develop your ability to confidently present, defend, and counter arguments in English. You will also learn new vocabulary and grammar in each lesson.

During each lesson, I will support you in phrasing your arguments and rebuttals naturally in English and ask thought-provoking questions to support you in thinking deeply about the topic. I’ll provide gentle language corrections in real time. Towards the end of each lesson, we’ll partake in a friendly debate where we rebut each other’s arguments.
After each lesson, I will provide comprehensive feedback so that you can review the work, and optional homework with checks and additional feedback.
