						Description
Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
- Discuss interesting cultural facts about different countries.
 - Share opinions and ask follow-up questions in conversation.
 - Improve fluency and confidence in general discussion.
 
Materials:
- Short list of 5–10 fun cultural facts (e.g., Japan, South Africa, France, Thailand)
 - Images or short video clips (optional)
 - Conversation prompts
 
Lesson Flow:
1. Warm-up (5–7 min)
- Ask: “Have you ever experienced something funny or unusual in another country?”
 - Share your own short story to make it engaging.
 
- “I find it interesting that…”
 - “In my country, we usually…”
 - “Have you ever…?”
 - “What’s your opinion about…?”
 
3. Main Activity – Conversation Practice (25 min)
- Present 3–5 cultural facts with images or short videos.
- Example:
- “In South Africa, there are 11 official languages.”
 - “In Japan, it’s polite to bow when greeting.”
 
 
 - Example:
 - Students discuss each fact in pairs or groups (online breakout rooms).
 - Encourage asking follow-up questions and sharing personal experiences.
 
- Each student shares one cultural fact from their own country or city.
 - Homework: Prepare a 2–3 sentence description of an interesting fact from your culture to share in the next lesson.
