Description

In this lesson we will use pictures to help you learn basic phrases and/or the names for items. As a native English speaker, I will help you to improve your pronunciation.

1) Choose a task or theme from the following:

  • Introductions – greetings, saying your name and where you come from, polite phrases such as please and thank you

  • Colours – learn the names of colours

  • Numbers – counting from 1 to 10

  • Numbers – counting from 11 to 20

  • Family words – such as mother, father, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother

  • Shopping – learn the names of grocery items such as rice, apples, bananas

  • Clothes – learn the names for different types of clothes such as shoes, shirt, dress, jeans

  • Animals – learn the names of different animals such as cat, dog, bird

  • Or, suggest your own topic

2) I can then choose five to ten words for you to learn related to your chosen theme. Or, you can suggest up to ten words that you would like to learn.

3) In the lesson I will show you pictures of each word. I will then pronounce the word or phrase for you to practise and repeat.

4) Once you are confident that you have learnt the words, we can do a quiz that involves showing you pictures and you telling me what you think it is in English.
