Lesson Structure:
- Warm-up (3 minutes)
- Quick discussion: How do students currently arrange meetings in their native language?
- Introduce situation: Need to schedule a team meeting
- Vocabulary Introduction (4 minutes)
- Present key phrases: "Would it be possible to...?", "Could we arrange...?", "Are you available...?"
- Meeting-related vocabulary: time slots, availability, schedule conflicts
- Grammar Focus (6 minutes)
- Modal verbs for polite requests
- Practice forming questions: "Could we meet on Tuesday?" vs. "Can we meet on Tuesday?"
- Emphasis on formal vs informal usage
- Practice Activity (10 minutes)
- Role-play in pairs: Student A needs to arrange a meeting with Student B
- Must use modal verbs and meeting vocabulary
- Switch roles halfway through
