PLEASE NOTE: This lesson is strictly for advanced, current students.


If you want to challenge your listening stamina with full-length, complex media, this lesson is for you. We use real-world videos and news features that are usually longer than 10 minutes to dive deeper into more sophisticated concepts.


I personally build this entire curriculum from scratch. I hand-curate every video, transcribe the audio, and write custom quiz and discussion questions tailored to the topic to give you a premium learning experience.


Booking Note: This lesson is only given on Zoom or Google Meet. There is zero live video watching during our session! You will watch the video on your own and complete my custom quiz before our appointment. Once you book, you get to keep the full text transcript and vocabulary sheets forever.


How the Homework Works: I design a custom quiz for every single video to check your comprehension. When we review your answers, we will focus heavily on your short-answer responses. If you wrote brief, simple sentences on your homework, we will practice expanding them in the studio so you can describe what you heard in rich, advanced detail.


How to Choose Your Topic (And What Happens If You Book Last-Minute): Once you book, I will send you a private link to my exclusive library of advanced, long-form video lessons.

  • If you book at least 24 hours in advance: Please message me with your chosen topic so I can send your materials over in time.

  • If you book a last-minute session or forget to choose: Don't worry! I will automatically select a fantastic, challenging advanced topic for you so we are completely ready to go the moment our cameras turn on.


What We Do Together During Our 45 Minutes:

  • Comprehension & Quiz Review: We will go over your quiz responses to clear up any tricky parts of the audio, focus on building descriptive details into your answers, and check the custom vocabulary list for words you want to practice using.

  • Advanced Discussion: We will use the rest of our time to jump straight into the big ideas. We will use my discussion questions to talk deeply about the topic, challenge your thinking, and practice speaking with a natural native rhythm.
