In this lesson, we will be learning about the evolution of languages, how they differ across cultures, and how people of different ages acquire them. To start off, we will briefly discuss the significance of language and its influence on communication and culture. Then, we will delve into the key branches of linguistics and provide examples for each. Firstly, in morphology, we will examine how words are formed, using examples such as pluralization and verb conjugation. Secondly, in Syntax, we will discuss sentence structure and word order, demonstrating how languages arrange words differently. Lastly, in semantics, we will explore meaning in language, including word meanings, synonyms, and antonyms.
