Let's learn how to read and analyze news articles in an efficient manner. Let's discuss advanced topics about current events.
레슨 상세 내용
This lesson is for intermediate/advanced English speakers to hone in on their reading comprehension and discussion abilities. The goal of this lesson is to be able to comprehend news articles, expand their vocabulary, and improve their conversation ability on topics that may be unfamiliar.
The lesson flow will be as follows:
1. Intro ~ 5 min
We will begin with a warmup to switch your brain into English mode. This will be a casual conversation about recent events in your life or any exciting plans you may have.
2. Article Introduction ~ 5 -10 min
I will ask you some related questions to the topic of the day, then display the article for you. I will give you some time to read or skim over the article.
3. Article Summary ~ 3 -6 min
Here you can ask any questions you might have about phrasing, grammar, vocabulary etc. Then you will give me a brief summary of the article so I can check your comprehension.
4. Article Discussion ~ 20 - 25 min
I will ask you different questions about the article and the topic and we will discuss the article topic in detail.
5. Outro ~ 2 min
We will wrap up our discussion and you can ask any last questions you might have.
