Everybody's had a conversation about history's most beneficial or most influential inventions. But what about its worst? In this short, entertaining class, let's talk about the inventions we wish we could un-invent. I want to hear your opinion!

Most people have been asked — or asked themselves — about the greatest discoveries ever made. Was the printing press more influential than the silicon computer chip? The space shuttle cooler than the atom-smasher? But humanity's creativity can have a dark side, too. In this textbook exercise based on a Discover magazine article, we read what people think humanity's worst inventions were. This lesson, which is intended for intermediates, lets you practice your reading comprehension and speaking skills along with having a little fun. I want to know your opinion at the end of the lesson, of course.
