Description
Going abroad soon? The first few weeks are when English matters most, and when most people freeze.
In this lesson, we'll practice the real situations you'll face, through role plays based on what you need:
- Meeting your host family or roommates
- Your first day at school and placement tests
- Opening a bank account, getting a phone plan, and shopping
- Dropping off your resume and part-time job interviews (cafés, restaurants, retail)
- Small talk and making friends
I lived in Vancouver for five years, from high school through college, so I'll also share practical tips I wish I'd known before I left. Japanese support is available.
