Whether you're new to the language or looking to refresh your skills, this lesson plan is designed to help you master the basics of the French language in a fun and interactive way.

After each lesson, a summary sheet is provided with mp3 audio recording if necessary

Lessons Plan : 

Based on your level and needs the lessons are articulated around these 12 bricks. 

  • Brick 1: Introduction to the French language
    Presentation of the French language and its importance in the world. Learning basic greetings: hello, goodbye, thank you, please. Introduction to personal subject pronouns: I, you, he/she, we, you (plural), they. Pronunciation exercises for French sounds and the alphabet.
  • Brick 2: Definite and indefinite articles
    Distinction between definite articles (le, la, les) and indefinite articles (un, une, des). Use of articles based on gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular/plural). Comprehension and practice exercises to master the use of articles.
  • Brick 3: Adjectives and agreement with nouns.
    Introduction to adjectives in French and their position in the sentence. Agreement of adjectives with nouns in gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular/plural). Application exercises to practice adjective agreement.
  • Brick 4: Demonstrative pronouns
    Presentation of demonstrative pronouns: celui-ci, celle-ci, ceux-ci, celles-ci, celui-là, celle-là, ceux-là, celles-là. Use of demonstrative pronouns to indicate proximity or distance. Conversation exercises to use demonstrative pronouns in real-life situations.
  • Brick 5: Numbers from 0 to 100.
    Learning numbers from 0 to 100. Use of numbers in common situations, such as stating one's age, asking for the time, etc. Pronunciation and practice exercises to memorize numbers.
  • Brick 6: Months of the year. Presentation of the months of the year in French. Use of months to talk about seasons, birthdays, holidays, etc. Listening and written comprehension exercises to remember the months of the year.
  • Brick 7: Verbs indifferent tenses
    Introduction to regular verbs in the present, future, and past indicative tense. Conjugation of verbs based on personal subject pronouns. Conjugation and sentence creation exercises with verbs in the present tense.
  • Brick 8: Prepositions of place
    Presentation of common prepositions of place: à, en, au, aux, dans, sur. Use of prepositions to indicate position and movement. Comprehension and practice exercises to master the use of prepositions of place.
  • Brick 9: Adverbs of time
    Learning common adverbs of time: today, yesterday, tomorrow, always, often, sometimes, etc. Use of adverbs of time to talk about habits, routines, past and future events. Oral expression exercises to use adverbs of time in conversations.
  • Brick 10:Basic expressions
    Presentation of basic expressions for everyday communication, such as greetings, introductions, apologies, etc. Vocabulary building exercises and role-play activities to practice using basic expressions.
