This lesson is for you if:
・You have a word or expression you've been wondering about ・You understand it, but something feels a little off ・You want to actually use Japanese, even just for a short time ・You simply feel like talking in Japanese with someone today.
Native Japanese speakers don't choose words based on meaning alone. There's a feeling behind each word — a texture, a temperature, a subtle weight — that dictionaries don't capture. In this lesson, we zero in on exactly that. That moment when "I kind of get it" turns into "oh, now I really get it" — that's what we're going for.
If you can, bring one word, phrase, or expression you've been wondering about. The best lessons start with your questions. If nothing comes to mind, don't worry — I'll bring something along.
As we have more lessons together, I'll get to know you a little better. When that happens, I'd love to share thoughts like, "the way you said that was good — but knowing you, this phrasing might feel even more like you." That's something I look forward to offering as we build our conversations.
