Bring your English practice into the yoga studio.
In this lesson we'll discuss yoga and meditation so you can make the most of your practice.
Often when learning a new language, we lose track of the words we don’t use often, like parts of the body, for example.
Learners will have the chance to exercise the use of yoga-specific vocabulary, including anatomy, movement and each of the postures.
We'll also consider the symbolism, imagery and poetic language of this ancient practice.
Lastly, the practice was designed as a template or guidebook to live a healthy, balanced life from youth through to old age. We will talk about yoga-specific health and wellbeing.
What aspect of yoga and meditation would you like to talk about? I’ll be sure to focus on it during the lesson.
The lesson structure will include:
- Vocabulary (with translations from Sanskrit and Hindi)
- Model conversations to examine vocabulary in context
- Reading material
- Comprehension questions
- Free conversation
