Welcome to Micah's Book Club! In this engaging 25-minute lesson, you have the opportunity to choose an English novel or book of your preference, and together, we will embark on a delightful reading journey. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced English learner, this lesson is designed to help you enhance your language skills while exploring the captivating world of literature.
During each session, we have two reading options to suit your preferences. The first option allows you to read the book at your own pace, chapter by chapter, before our lesson. We will then dedicate our time to discussing the significant aspects of each chapter. We can discuss unfamiliar expressions and vocabulary, and discuss the story in general. This approach gives you the chance to immerse yourself in the story and contemplate its themes, characters, and plotlines. I'll provide guidance, ask thought-provoking questions, and encourage insightful discussions, fostering your comprehension and critical thinking skills.
Alternatively, if you prefer a more interactive experience, we can read the book together during our lesson time. We will progress chapter by chapter, exploring the narrative together. Along the way, we can pause to clarify any vocabulary, discuss challenging passages, and address any questions or curiosities that arise. This method ensures a dynamic and engaging learning environment, where we can share our thoughts and interpretations in real-time.
Regardless of the approach you choose, Micah's Book Club aims to cultivate your reading proficiency, vocabulary expansion, and conversational skills in English.
