Course Overview:
This beginner-level course uses the Vente Method to teach Castilian Spanish, a dynamic approach designed to immerse you in the language from day one. You’ll start speaking Spanish in everyday situations and learn grammar naturally as you go. By focusing on communication first, the Vente method helps you become conversational quickly, building both confidence and fluency in real-life contexts.
Course Objectives:
- Engage in basic conversations from the very first lesson, using functional vocabulary and phrases.
- Develop a deep understanding of Castilian Spanish pronunciation and sounds through active listening and speaking.
- Learn essential grammar and structures in context, integrating them into your conversations.
- Expand your vocabulary through thematic topics, such as greetings, food, and travel, so you can start using Spanish right away.
- Gain cultural insights into Spanish customs and language nuances, ensuring you're ready for real-world interactions.

Module 1: Hola! Introduction to Castilian Spanish (spoken in Spain)
- Meet your first vocabulary: basic greetings and introductions.
- Practice key phrases for saying hello, goodbye, asking names, and making small talk.
- Focus on Castilian pronunciation—specifically the "th" sound (like in gracias).

Module 2: Talking About You – Personal Information
- Practice saying your age, nationality, where you're from, and talking about family.
- Task-Based Learning: Have a role-play activity where you introduce yourself to a classmate (in Spanish).
- Introduce basic verbs and sentence structures (e.g., ser and tener).
- Learn to ask and answer simple questions like "Where are you from?" and "How old are you?"
- Cultural Insight: Discuss common Spanish names and family structures.

- Master numbers and how to tell the time in Castilian Spanish.

- Use conversational patterns and introduce essential verbs (like comer, beber, and pedir).
- Cultural Insight: Discover Spanish food culture (e.g., tapas, meals of the day).

- Learn vocabulary for common locations and directions.

Course Duration:
6 weeks: 3 classes per week 45 min each
8 weeks: ideally 2 classes per week 45 min each
4 weeks: 4 classes per week 45 min each
3 weeks: 5 classes per week 45 min each (this is our intensive option)
