Learn Vocabulary and Grammar from Lyrics!

Description

Calling all music lovers!

Do you have a song that you love? Let’s learn English by studying the lyrics!

Send me the lyrics to your favorite song or (two or three), and we’ll study them together in class. We can even practice the grammar and vocabulary that appear in the song. Curious what that might look like? Here’s an example:

The Beatles: Can’t Buy Me Love

Can't buy me love, love

Can't buy me love

I'll buy you a diamond ring my friend

If it makes you feel alright

I'll get you anything my friend

If it makes you feel alright

'Cause I don't care too much for money

Money can't buy me love

I'll give you all I've got to give

If you say you love me too

I may not have a lot to give

But what I've got I'll give to you

I don't care too much for money

Money can't buy me love

Grammar/Expressions:

Wow! Who’d have guessed there was so much grammar hiding in such a simple song? By looking at new words and grammar, you can practice making your own sentences. And by having a tune to remember them by, memorizing grammar is as easy as Do Re Mi!

Don’t have a song in mind? No worries! I can also provide a song from YouTube, and we can study it together in class.
