This is a fun and interactive way to introduce young learners to reading in English!
Start with a Warm-Up
Start with a Warm-Up
Sing a short and catchy greeting song together. Here's an example: "[YouTube] Hello Song"
Greet the student with a big smile and say, "Come and read with me
A stuffed animal, introduce it and have it say hello too!

Read the story slowly and expressively.
Point to the pictures as you read and encourage the student to follow along.
Pause at key points and ask questions like: "What colour is the cat?" "Where is the ball going?"
Use sound effects and silly voices to make the reading come alive!
