- This is a lesson pack of 6 lessons in total. When you send the request for the first lesson, points for all 6 lessons will be deducted at once.
- Once the tutor confirms the first request, “100% OFF coupons” that can be used for the remaining 5 requests will be issued automatically.
- You can use these coupons to send requests for the remaining lessons.
- The validity period for this lesson pack is 60 days starting from the scheduled date and time of the first confirmed lesson.

Even if the first scheduled lesson is canceled, the already set validity period will not change.

Description

Enjoy 6 sessions of learning cultural communication. Moving to a new country or doing international business can be rewarding but sometimes it is hard to understand the best way to approach others from a different culture and that could prove detrimental for good business or work relations.

Over 6 classes we will go through the areas and reasons for cultural misunderstandings and learn how to overcome them. 

Topics include:

1.  Cultural awareness: Understanding cultural perspectives, value systems and
                         biases 

 2.  Unpacking our Cultural baggage : Recognising our tendencies to see things  
                          through our own cultural lens
                  
3.  The New Normal: Adapting to different ways of knowing and doing to become
                           culturally literate   

4. Common sense: Not so common. Entering into an alternate universe of   
                            reference points to avoid misunderstandings      

5. Bridging the gap : Individualist society meets socialist societies: Creating common                                  ground from different value systems 
  6. Collective growth: Creating fertile environments for diversity. How to support
                            the development of others with different needs and concerns. 
 

Cafetalk's cancellation policy

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
