人は時として、個人的な会話でも仕事上の議論でも、自分の主張を誤った方法で展開することがあります。そうした誤りには見分けやすいパターンがあり、人がアイデアを伝えたり議論したりする際によく犯す論理的な間違いには、英語で「fallacies（論理的誤謬・詭弁）」という名前が付いています。これから皆さんと一緒にそれらの用語を学び、理解していきます。そうすれば、何の準備もなくあなたに挑んでくる相手の不正確な主張を、論理的に見抜き、反論する力を身につけることができます。

Sometimes people argue their case wrongly, be it in a personal or professional setting. This often happens in identifiable ways, and we have English terms for how people incorrectly present ideas or debate. I will walk through these terms with you, so that you are properly equipped to verbally rebuke any silly billy who decides to tread past you without preparation.
