課程介紹

Who this lesson is for

  • Two kids ages 7 to 10 who already know some basic English words
  • Siblings, twins, or two friends who want to learn together
  • Kids who can follow a lesson taught only in English

What your child will learn

  • Introduce themselves in full sentences
  • Ask and answer basic questions
  • Learn new vocabulary on everyday topics
  • Use sentence patterns: “I have...” / “I like...” / “This is a...”
  • Read and write simple words and sentences
  • Pronounce words clearly using phonics

Lesson flow (30 minutes)

  1. Level check (4 min): I ask simple questions to see what words and sentences they already know.
  2. Self-introduction (5 min): “My name is... I am 8 years old. I live in...” Each student says it, then asks the other: “What is your name?” “How old are you?”
  3. New vocabulary (7 min): 8 to 10 new words on one topic (family, school things, or food). I show a picture, say the word, and the students repeat it. Then I ask: “What is this?” “It’s a ___.”
  4. Sentence patterns (6 min): “I have a ___.” “I like ___.” “This is my ___.” Each student makes 3 sentences. Older students can add a reason: “I like apples because they are sweet.”
  5. Phonics and reading (5 min): Letter sounds and 4 to 5 short words or sentences. I correct each word’s pronunciation.
  6. Writing and review (3 min): Each student writes 2 simple sentences. Then each says one thing he learned today.

Homework (optional): Write 3 sentences using “I have...” and “I like...”
