Lesson Plan (5 Lessons) — what happens in each lesson

Lesson 1 — Part 1 Mastery (High-scoring “personal questions”)

Goal: answer Part 1 questions smoothly in 20–35 seconds with natural extension.

In the lesson:

  • Warm-up speaking to reduce nervousness and increase speed
  • Learn the Gold Answer Structure and practise it repeatedly
  • Train “extend your answer” skills: reason + detail + mini example
  • Practise 20–30 common Part 1 topics (home, work/study, food, hobbies, travel, weather, shopping, etc.)
  • Fix your personal weak points (pauses, repeating words, short answers)

You leave with:

  • a “Part 1 Upgrade List” (your best phrases + corrected sentences)
  • a simple method to avoid one-sentence answers

Lesson 2 — Part 2 Cue Card System (1-minute plan → 2-minute talk)

Goal: speak for 1–2 minutes confidently without stopping, using clear structure.

In the lesson:

  • Learn how to plan in 60 seconds using a simple note map (NOT full scripts)
  • Train storytelling structure: Start → details → highlight → result → reflection
  • Build strong topic vocabulary + descriptive language (sensory details, emotions, comparisons)
  • Practise 2–3 cue cards live with timing, then improve and repeat
  • Learn how to finish strongly (conclusion + future/lesson learned)

You leave with:

  • a cue-card planning template you can reuse for any topic
  • 2 “ready” cue card plans that sound natural and high-band

Lesson 3 — Part 3 Discussion (Opinions + deeper answers)

Goal: answer Part 3 like an adult discussion: opinion + reasons + example + counterpoint.

In the lesson:

  • Learn a Part 3 structure that always works:
    Opinion → Reason 1 → Reason 2 → Example → Counterpoint → Conclusion
  • Train how to avoid “I don’t know” moments with thinking phrases and smooth starts
  • Practise high-frequency Part 3 themes (education, technology, culture, society, environment, work, health, media)
  • Learn “balanced language” (on the one hand / however / it depends)
  • Improve fluency for longer answers (45–75 seconds each)

You leave with:

  • a bank of high-band Part 3 linking phrases and topic vocabulary
  • a method to sound confident even when unsure

Lesson 4 — Fluency + Pronunciation Booster (Band 7+ clarity)

Goal: sound clearer, more confident, and more natural.

In the lesson:

  • Fix pronunciation issues that affect clarity (word stress, sentence rhythm, endings)
  • Linking practice: speaking in “chunks” (natural English rhythm)
  • Repair strategies: how to correct mistakes calmly without losing fluency
  • Fluency drills: speed rounds + paraphrasing practice
  • Mini mock sections focusing on your biggest weaknesses

You leave with:

  • a pronunciation drill sheet + your personal “problem words”
  • strategies to reduce pauses and sound more natural

Lesson 5 — Full Mock Speaking Test + Final Band Feedback

Goal: perform calmly under real exam conditions and know exactly what to improve.

In the lesson:

  • Full IELTS Speaking mock test (Part 1 + Part 2 + Part 3)
  • Band-focused feedback using IELTS criteria:
    • Fluency & Coherence
    • Lexical Resource
    • Grammar Range & Accuracy
    • Pronunciation
  • A clear “final improvement plan” for the next 7–14 days:
    • what to practise daily
    • what to stop doing
    • which answers to develop
    • how to manage nerves on test day

You leave with:

  • your personal “Band Strategy” checklist
  • final practise routine + confidence plan

Great for:

Students who feel nervous, pause too much, repeat words, struggle with Part 2 timing, or don’t know how to extend answers naturally.

Homework:

Short, simple, note-based practice (no heavy writing). You practise speaking from bullet notes and bring them to the next lesson.

By the end:

 

You will have a personal phrase bank, a clear speaking structure, and the ability to speak confidently in any IELTS topic without memorising scripts.
