Presentation (20 min) Vocabulary & Diplomatic Language: Introduce the key vocabulary terms. Pair this with advanced phrases for managing tricky conversations:
Guided Practice (15 min) | Sentence Transformation: Students work on transforming direct, potentially abrasive statements into diplomatic, C1-level business English using softening language and the new vocabulary.
Wrap-up (10 min) | Debrief & Feedback | Discuss the outcome of the simulations. Focus specifically on how students handled disagreements and whether they effectively used the target vocabulary to move the needle on their negotiations. The teacher provides targeted feedback on fluency and precision.
