課程介紹
Step into the role of a detective and solve the story hidden within beautiful Dixit cards! In this lesson, you will:
· Analyze fictional characters and their challenges (these may be career, life, ethical or social challenges, etc.).
· Explore solutions and advice through imaginative storytelling.
· Practice English speaking, description and critical thinking in a playful and structured way.
Who it’s for:
· English learners who are comfortable with daily conversation.
- I’ll adjust my speaking style to ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the lesson.
· Adult English learners who enjoy creative thinking, storytelling, and discussion.
· Anyone looking for a fun, imaginative alternative to traditional English lessons.
What we’ll do:
1. We’ll look at 3 random Dixit cards like this one:
- Each Dixit card represents a character’s problem, solution and advice.
2. Then we’ll discuss and interpret the cards using English. As we talk, I’ll provide real-time support with pronunciation, sentence structure, and vocabulary as needed.
3. Next, I'll introduce a character, and we’ll build a story around the character’s challenge and next steps. There will also be an opportunity to role-play advice-giving dialogue in this section.
4. After the lesson, I’ll send thorough feedback so you can review it. There will also be optional homework with checks included.
What you’ll gain:
· Improve English speaking and storytelling by describing and interpreting Dixit cards.
· Strengthen creative and critical thinking through analyzing fictional characters’ challenges and solutions.
· Practice perspective-taking and problem-solving in a safe, imaginative, and fun environment.
· Practice English dialogue and advice-giving in real time.
