Did you know that every May, in a small village in England, there is a world-famous race? This one is a little different, though! Participants race by throwing themselves down a steep hill in order to catch a wheel of cheese!

Read and learn about this crazy cultural event, learn vocabulary related to competing in it and doing crazy things, and then learn to make hypotheticals about your participation: would you ever run this race??

Lesson aims:

By the end of this lesson you will be able to:
  • Describe this cultural event and talk hypothetically about participating in an extreme sport, using conditional forms and a range of vocabulary related to risk taking and dangerous sports
