Gain the tools to decode culture, analyze power, and understand the forces driving change in today’s world. This course blends classic social theory with real-world examples to help you think critically about society—and your place in it.



Understanding the complexities of culture, power, and social change is essential for anyone studying the social sciences or engaging with today’s rapidly changing world. In this course, we’ll explore the key theories and concepts that help explain how societies work, how people interact, and how change happens.

You’ll learn to:

I specialize in qualitative research, ethnographic methods, and academic mentoring for projects ranging from high school assignments to university theses. Over multiple sessions, I can help you design, execute, and refine your research, providing continuous feedback so you gain both academic skills and confidence.

 

I hold a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology, an M.A. from Yale University, and have trained nearly 100 researchers in the field. I’ve advised IB Extended Essay students, university undergraduates, graduate students, and professionals in understanding human behavior, culture, and cross-cultural communication.

  • Expertise in medical anthropology, social theory, qualitative analysis, and research design.

  • Published author in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes; invited speaker at universities and professional conferences worldwide.
