I'm Takayo, living in Germany as a SHODO artist. I have been started learning SHODO since I was 6 years old and teaching for 11 years.

Are you tired of corona? In the current situation where both children and adults are at home, unlike before Corona, many people struggling who you manage the rhythm of life. In such a case, why don't you make time to face yourself with SHODO, even for a moment away from reality? After the lesson, you can be healed and discover yourself. At Cafetalk, you can also do SHODO with a brush or with brush-pens.

You can easily concentrate and let the negative mind to go through SHODO. By carefully writing one stroke, you will lead to a calm and refreshing mind. The student who comes to me said, "I feel refreshed even though I concentrate hard. "II felt times go fly. "It doesn't look like my character which I used to write before. Once again, Takayo-san's lesson was extremely informative and helpful. There are so many things that I have been taught here which would have taken so much longer to discover if I was only self studying. Today I was given clear explanations and examples of how to write 原 in block and cursive script. As well, as the teachers guidance, a helpful link was also sent. As well as the lesson, I was also given good feedback, and some useful information regarding my upcoming visit to Japan with some shodo related places of interest. This is a great place to deepen your knowledge and practical elements of shodo in a nicely paced relaxed manner. Always a pleasure! ありがとうございました。

Another very well given lesson by Takayo-san. Today I was given a very thorough lesson writing the character 林 in both block and cursive script. After being given clear examples of the way to write, I was guided to write using the model, and corrections were also clearly explained. Useful links, and suggested apps are also shared, and great feedback has always been much appreciated. Takayo-san's teaching style is very friendly and encouraging, and also a great place for me to practice my Japanese on top of the calligraphy. いつもありがとうございます。

It was my first lesson for a while due to various reasons so I was very much out of practice. However, Takayo-san, as always delivered a great introduction to writing kana, providing clear demonstrations and explanations. I hadn't noticed the subtle differences in writing kana and kanji before. It was a very interesting and informative lesson. For those of you thinking about learning calligraphy/shodo, Takayo-san i a very attentive, friendly and generous teacher who I highly recommend.

These classes for me have been very special. Takayo-san has introduced me to so many aspects of Japanese calligraphy while helping me to use the little Japanese that I know. Combining language learning with a new art form has been really inspirational. Takayo-san always shows up to the lessons with a great attitude, is easy to talk with (despite my language deficit), provides very useful material,examples, and exercises, and always gives really useful feedback. Takayo-sensei is an awesome teacher. She is very talented and is able to explain clearly in English, which is so helpful for me while learning Japanese calligraphy, as my Japanese is not good enough to understand explanations in it entirely. Not only is the lesson enjoyable for relaxing, but I find it fascinating how even what appears to be a simple line has so much thought and details that must go into it. Additionally, Takayo-sensei gives me helpful feedback, and teaches me new words in Japanese as I learn to write. Thank you!!

Takayo Sensei ist immer sehr gut Vorbereitet . Mit viel Geduld Erklärt was zu tun ist . Sie beobachtet wie das gelernte umgesetzt wird .
