I'm Lissa, your guide to French language and culture. As a Parisian with Japanese and Togolese roots, and a former lawyer who's lived in London and now Japan, I bring a truly global and nuanced perspective to our lessons. This lesson offers a 360-degree tour of a typical year in France, focusing on what's happening culturally and socially around the time of our session. We'll use authentic French news articles and video clips as our launchpad for discussion. The goal is to give you genuine insights into the French mindset and how daily life unfolds throughout the year.
For example, depending on the season, we might explore:
