Grammar Practice Session (30 mins)

 

Do you want to extend your English grammar so you understand the rules that most native English speakers follow unconsciously? These lessons focus on the rules which need to be followed for grammar structures to make sense, and how their equivalents in your language. Examples of lessons include when to use ‘since’ and ‘for’ to talk about a period of time in the past up to the present, or how to use prefixed like some / no / any to ask questions like ‘Is there some-thing in the fridge?’ or ‘Can I do any-thing to help?’. 

These are some lessons that I use to introduce the basics:

  • What is happening in the picture - This is a good one for learning how to use the present continuous of verbs, which is used all the time in English!

  • What is ‘gonna’ happen - We will use a popular song by a well known artist to discuss the language we use for talking about the future.

  • I wish VS I hope - This lesson uses the very common English expressions to discuss what we want to have happen. Another useful one for discussing the future.

*We can also look at specific grammar structures you need more practice with. Please let me know your specific grammar question, and your level when you get in touch!
