The sounds that make French feel like French.

Description

A focused lesson on the specific sounds that make French notoriously difficult for non-native speakers — nasal vowels, the French R, silent letters, liaison rules, and the rhythm and music of the language.

We identify the sounds that are most challenging for you specifically, work through targeted listening and speaking exercises, and practice in real words and sentences so the improvements carry over into actual speech.

This lesson does not assume a high level of French — it's about training your ear and your mouth to produce sounds that feel foreign at first but become natural with practice. Skills covered include nasal vowel production, the French R, liaison and elision, word stress, and overall French rhythm and intonation.

Great for beginner to intermediate students who feel their pronunciation is holding them back or making them self-conscious when speaking French.
