Hi, I'm Shibashiba.

Born and raised in Japan, I've taught Japanese as a second language—yet I still don't quite fit into traditional "Japanese communication."

That's precisely why I understand your frustration, and why I can serve as an authentic bridge between you and the people you interact with here.

Do you ever feel that your Japanese is grammatically correct, but somehow comes across as too blunt, cold, or distant in the workplace? In this session, we won't just study grammar—we will fine-tune your Japanese so that your true warmth and intentions are accurately communicated.

文法は正しいはずなのに、職場で「少し冷たい」「素っ気ない」と思われて困ったことはありませんか？ このレッスンでは、単なる文法チェックではなく、あなたが本当に伝えたいことが 相手にしっかり伝わる「自然な日本語」を練習します。

Lesson Flow / レッスンの流れ (Example)

  • 1. Opening & Warm-up  / オープニング＆ウォーミングアップ

  •  Friendly conversation to break the ice. After briefly discussing any situations where your Japanese might have felt too direct, I will set the stage for today's conversation topic.

  • リラックスした雰囲気でフリートーク。日常で「少し直接的すぎたかも？」と気になった場面などをお話ください。その後、本日のレッスンでフォーカスする会話のテーマを説明します。

  • 2. Case Study & Mini-Lesson / ケーススタディ＆プチレッスン

    • We'll look at common scenarios (e.g., declining invitations, making requests, messaging/emailing) and compare "overly direct/cold" phrasing with "warm and natural" alternatives.

    • 日常や仕事でよくあるシーンをピックアップ！「少し冷たく聞こえる例」と「温かみのある自然な例」を比較しながらニュアンスの違いを学びます。

  • 3. Role-play Practice / ロールプレイ実践

    • Practice using the learned expressions in a realistic role-play. Don't worry about making mistakes—I will gently guide and support you throughout the conversation!

    • 学んだ表現を使って実際の会話を練習します。うまくいかない部分はその場で優しくフォローしますのでご安心ください。

  • 4. Feedback & Wrap-up / フィードバック＆アドバイス

    • Review of what went well and personalized tips for further improvement. I will also send you a feedback note after the lesson.

    • 良かった点やアドバイスをお伝えします。レッスン後の復習に役立つメモもお送りします。
