Effective Communication in the Workplace.
Description
Objective: Students will improve their communication skills in the workplace by practicing listening, speaking, reading, and writing in various business contexts.
Materials:-
- Real-life business communication scenarios( emails, phone conversations, meetings, etc.)
- Handouts with business vocabulary and phrases.
- Sample business E-mails.
Procedure:
1. Icebreaker - The class will start with a discussion about the importance of effective communication in the workplace. Sharing of experiences of communication.
2. Vocabulary Review: Introducing a list of commonly used business vocabulary and phrases for practice during the session. Emphasize the meaning and pronunciation of each word and phrase.
3. Business Writing Practice: Hands-on experience in drafting business emails followed by constructive feedback on grammar, punctuation, and tone.
4. Listening Exercise: Listening to the recording of meetings and business communication followed by the guided comprehension of the same.
5. Role-Play: A role will be assigned and asked to conduct a mock business meeting based on a given scenario followed by a
discussion of communication strengths and areas of improvement.

A mock business scenario wherein the learner applies all the business communication skills learned.
