Congratulations on completing all 50 lessons of Minna no Nihongo Beginner!
You have already built a strong foundation in Japanese.
 
Now it is time to move on to the intermediate level and take the next step—from Japanese you know to Japanese you can actually use.
 
I often hear students say, “I want to pass the JLPT N3 or N2 as soon as possible!”
 
However, if you only memorize questions and answers from JLPT preparation books, you may be able to pass the exam, but you may still find yourself thinking, “I know the Japanese, but I can’t speak when I actually need to.”
 
Of course, this lesson is not only for students preparing for the JLPT. It is also suitable for anyone who wants to continue studying Japanese and improve their overall Japanese ability.
 
In this lesson, we will use Minna no Nihongo Intermediate, a textbook that is also widely used at Japanese language schools in Japan, and study it carefully step by step.
 
We will not only study grammar and vocabulary, but also practice speaking Japanese, so that the Japanese you “know” gradually becomes Japanese you can actually “use.”
 
Let’s move on to the next stage of your Japanese learning journey together!
 
Textbook & JLPT Level Guide
 
The lessons are based on the Japanese editions of Minna no Nihongo Intermediate I & II.
 
Students who are using the Traditional Chinese editions available in Taiwan are also welcome to take the lesson.

① Intermediate I Course (Lessons 1–12)
 
・Approximate level: JLPT N3
 
・Lesson content:
You will practice how to deal with problems that can happen in everyday life, as well as how to explain your opinions and reasons.
 
By understanding the textbook content well, you can build a strong foundation for the Japanese skills needed for the JLPT N3.
 
② Intermediate II Course (Lessons 13–24)
 
・Approximate level: Basic JLPT N2 level
 
・Lesson content:
You will learn how to understand news and reading materials, polite expressions that can also be used in business situations, and how to have deeper conversations and communicate more effectively with others.
 
※The content of Minna no Nihongo Intermediate does not exactly match the entire JLPT syllabus. If your goal is to pass the JLPT, I recommend studying specifically for the exam in addition to taking this lesson.
 
⏱ 25-Minute Lessons — Easy to Continue!
 
Each lesson is 25 minutes, so even if you are busy, you can study little by little according to your schedule.
 
This lesson is especially recommended if you:
 
・don’t have time for long study sessions
・want to focus on studying for a short time
・want to continue learning at your own pace
 
If you would like to study for 50 minutes at a time, you can book two 25-minute lessons consecutively.
 
This is also a good option if you would like to take your time and study everything from grammar to conversation practice in one session.

You can still take the lesson even if you do not have the textbook.
 
During the lesson, I will share my own original explanatory PDF on screen, so please don’t worry.
 
・About lesson materials
 
Due to copyright restrictions, I cannot provide files containing pages from the textbook.
 
However, if you would like materials for review, I can provide my own supplementary notes on vocabulary and grammar after the lesson.
 
Please feel free to let me know during the lesson if you would like them.
 
How the Lessons Work
 
1. Careful explanations based on the textbook
 
We will follow the content of Minna no Nihongo Intermediate and study grammar, conversation, reading materials, and other topics step by step.
 
2. Plenty of opportunities to speak
 
We will use the conversation exercises in the textbook and practice speaking Japanese out loud.
 
Don’t worry about making mistakes! I will gently correct you, so please feel comfortable speaking.
 
3. Support with areas that are difficult to understand
 
I have experience teaching Minna no Nihongo Beginner I & II all the way through Lesson 50.
 
I will use that experience to explain grammar and expressions that students often find difficult in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
 
Once you finish the beginner level, it’s time to move on to intermediate Japanese!
