Ielts speaking At the end students will be able to :
IELTS Speaking – Learning Outcomes
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Understand the IELTS Speaking test format, including its three parts, duration, and assessment criteria.
- Answer Part 1 questions confidently by giving clear, natural, and relevant responses about familiar topics.
- Speak for up to two minutes in Part 2 by organising ideas logically and using appropriate examples.
- Develop and justify opinions in Part 3 through explanations, comparisons, and supporting examples.
- Improve fluency and coherence by speaking smoothly, connecting ideas, and reducing unnecessary hesitation.
- Use a wider range of vocabulary through appropriate expressions, collocations, and paraphrasing.
- Demonstrate grammatical range and accuracy by using simple and complex sentence structures correctly.
- Improve pronunciation through word stress, sentence stress, intonation, and clear articulation.
- Apply effective speaking strategies to handle unfamiliar questions, extend answers, and maintain natural communication.
- Evaluate their speaking performance using the four IELTS assessment criteria and identify areas for improvement.
