Description

Unit 1 - Lesson Pack 1: Personalizing Your Profile

What can your English say about you? In this lesson pack, you'll practice sharing your story, your goals, and the experiences that make you unique.

We'll start by looking at four different personal profiles and discussing the information people choose to share about themselves. You'll practice answering deeper questions about your own life, including your interests, studies, work, and reasons for learning English. This is a great chance to move beyond simple introductions and have more meaningful conversations.

After building confidence talking about yourself, we'll focus on useful vocabulary for describing your education and career. You'll practice using these expressions in speaking activities designed to help you communicate more naturally and confidently.

By the end of this lesson pack, you'll have the language and confidence to introduce yourself, describe your background, and talk about your future goals in a more detailed and engaging way.

  • This is a B1 or Lower Intermediate Course
  • It is recommended, but not required to have a level evaluation before the course which can be accessed via my course titled "Free Talk".
  • No other prerequisite is required.
  • This class package is part 1 in a series.
  • This course uses Cambridge and Oxford course material (Primarily Roadmaps).
  • No textbook is required for this course and all materials will be provided.
  • Upon completing each lesson, the student will be sent a copy of the lesson (pdf), an audio file for further practice, and any feedback notes from the lesson.

This tutor's cancellation policy

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
