Hi everyone,


- In this class, we will start our class with a crossword with vocabulary connected to sport (intermediate level): a crossword is a good way to remember or discover vocabulary, because you can use a few words you know and try to guess the others that are missing. In this way, you are particpating more actively in the activity and have a higher probability of remebering the words you find out.

 We will then go on with with a video about e-sports https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xXOP8tWMJE&t=87s, which will give the opportunity to discuss and try to find an answer to the questions "what is a sport?", "what is the difference between a sport and a hobby?", "do you think e-sports are sports?".

- The following and last step will be a speaking activity aimed at talking about our preferences, routines and personal lives, with these questions:
(1) What’s your favourite sport? (2) Do you prefer watching sports at the stadium, at home on TV, or in a bar on a giant screen? (3) Would you like to play sport for a living? (4) How many hours of sport a week should children do at school? (5) Is football (soccer) THE world sport? (6) What is your country’s national sport? Do you like it? (7) What are blood sports and extreme sports? Do you like them? (8) Which sport has the best, fitted and most talented athletes? (9) Howard Cosell said: "Sports is the toy department of human life." Do you agree? (10) John Wooden said: "Sports do not build character. They reveal it." Do you agree?
