📚 Lesson Structure

⏱️ 5 min – Warm-Up: Animal Sound Game

  • Make animal sounds or show animal pictures.

  • Ask: “What animal is this?”

  • Let the student guess.

  • Example: Roar! → “Is it a lion?” “Yes! It’s a lion!”

⏱️ 10 min – Vocabulary & Facts

Teach each animal with a picture and one fun fact. Use slides or screen share.

Game: Guess the Big 5!

  • Show a part of the animal (zoomed in).

  • Ask: “What animal is this?”

  • Student says the name and a sentence.

  • Optional: Show a map of Africa and point where they live.

⏱️ 3 min – Mini Quiz

Ask questions:

  • “Which animal is big and gray?”

  • “Which one has spots?”

  • “Where do the Big 5 live?”

⏱️ 2 min – Cool Down & Praise

  • Ask: “Which animal do you like best?”

  • Praise answers: “Wow! Great speaking!”

  • Show a fun “Big 5 Explorer” badge on screen.
