English conversation for children aged 10-15 years

Description

Lesson level: Children aged 10-15 years old at intermediate level and above. Maximum two students per lesson.

We will practice:

Speaking
: Talk about many different topics in two short conversations (with a break in-between). This mostly free talk, but guided by some questions. This is to allow students to answer and ask questions and to practise conversation skills with some creativity to encourage natural speaking.

Here are some popular topics: Japan culture and schooling, New Zealand culture and schooling, music, friends, sports, games and hobbies, animals.

If you have a specific topic that interests your child, let me know, and I'll prepare a basic structure for the conversation. There is the option to even discuss a short English reading.

During the lesson:

Vocabulary: Each conversation will allow the student to learn some new vocabulary either related to the topic or that can be used widely when speaking English.

Pronunciation and Grammar: The student will receive correction. There will be at least a little bit of correction on pronunciation and grammar during conversations

This is good for:

Practicising and building confidence to speak English naturally and freely.
