We will read or listen to a short article, learn useful vocabulary and expressions, and discuss the topic together.
Improve your reading, critical thinking, and speaking skills at the same time.

Lesson Flow

  1. Introduction (5 mins): Discuss the topic or theme of the article

  2. Reading or Listening (10 mins): Go through the news story together

  3. Vocabulary Focus (10 mins): Learn key words and phrases

  4. Discussion (15 mins): Share opinions and reactions

  5. Wrap-Up (5 mins): Review language points and phrases

Recommended For

Students who enjoy discussing real-world topics and improving advanced vocabulary

Materials

Tutor-provided short news article or listening clip

Homework

Find a short news story in English and summarise it in two or three sentences.
