The workday is over. The drinks are on the table. Now the real conversations begin!
In Japan, nominication is more than having a drink with colleagues, it can be a chance to relax, build relationships and talk about things that don't always come up during the workday.
In this lesson, you'll practise starting conversations, telling funny work stories, sharing opinions, reacting naturally and keeping a conversation going using everyday English, humour, idioms and social expressions.
We'll use realistic situations and role-plays to explore everything from embarrassing workplace moments and office gossip to team wins, bosses, colleagues and those “Did that really happen at work?” stories.
I'll guide you throughout the conversation and give you useful corrections and expressions you can take into your next real-life conversation.
Come ready to talk, laugh and perhaps reveal a workplace story or two.
