  • Objective: To make a positive first impression and engage in meaningful conversations at professional events.

  • Key Vocabulary:networking, connect, it's a pleasure to meet you, What brings you here today?, what do you do?, stay in touch.

  • Activities:

    • Warm-up: Talk about their experience with professional networking.

    • Main Activity: A simulated networking mixer where the student practices meeting new people and exchanging contact information.

    • Discussion: Talk about the do's and don'ts of networking in different cultures.

    • Wrap-up: Practice their "elevator pitch" to describe their professional background in 30 seconds.
