Description

Hello,
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading in the UK. I gained a Distinction grade in my Diploma of  Proofreading and Editing from the College of Media and Publishing in the UK.

If you have a document that requires proofreading, I accept documents in Microsoft Word and PDF format. If the document is in Word I will use 'track changes' or annotations, depending on your preference. If the document is in PDF format I will leave annotated comments about suggested changes, but I will not make the changes within the body of the PDF. If you have a style guide or editorial guide that you are complying with (e.g. A.P.A., M.L.A., or Chicago), please let me know in advance of the meeting. 

I suggest we use the lesson to discuss the document and the nature of the proofreading assignment. We may not need the full 50 minutes for the discussion, so you may decide to leave early. Once we have agreed the brief, I can return a proofread document of 1,000 words or less within 24 hours of the booked lesson.

If you require additional services, such as copyediting , we can discuss and agree a price for these services in the lesson.

I also offer a 15 minute trial lesson for very short documents of less than 300 words.

Cafetalk's cancellation policy

This lesson is “Immediately Confirmed”

If the requested date falls within 30 days, the request will be “confirmed” immediately without having to wait for the tutor to reply.

The policy “before request is confirmed” will not apply to requests that are confirmed immediately.

About “Immediate Confirmation”

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
