Expand your grammar and vocabulary through an interactive reading and discussion of daily local and international news

Description

In this lesson, we will read and discuss daily news articles from all over the world. I will bring a variety of daily international newspapers and news articles such as BBC, CNN, Al-Jazeera, The Guardian, VOA, and the New York Times. You can also bring your local news articles if you wish.

We will read the news together and have a discussion on our views and opinions on what we have read. We can read random news articles or just the topics we like most i.e., sports, breaking news, business, politics, lifestyle, or technology.

This lesson will help you improve your English reading and speaking skills. Additionally, this is a great opportunity for you to expand your grammar, vocabulary, idioms, and sentence structure skills.

I always use the Skype chatbox to highlight new words and phrases. Finally, I resend a detailed list of the new words and phrases in the lesson review to help you practice more. I also send messages at the end of the lesson with the words that need more pronunciation practice.

I hope to see you in class soon. Take care.
