英語を学ぶとなるとなかなか頭に入らず覚えないし大変だけれど、好きなアフリカの動物をテーマとして英語だけで話すととても楽しく知らない単語も興味もって覚えようとします。

Ms. Thulie has been an exceptional tutor throughout the Business English Mastery Course. 日本はいまどんな話題が流行っているのか、知ることができて、しかも先生と一緒に自分の考えを話せるのがすごくおもしろいと思います。

長年フランス語を学んでいますが、小説を読みながらネイティブの感情表現を学ぶ機会は初めてでした。同じ意味でも違う単語を使うというのは小説では常識的な表現ということもあり冒頭から同じ意味の単語が3つ連続登場しましたが、私は一つの単語しかわかりませんでした。教科書で学ぶ方法とは違い、物語の表現として語彙を学ぶのはとても楽しかったです。また、先生の解説により、その情景がありありと浮かび、とても感動したレッスンでした。独学ではこのように作品をじっくり味わえないと思うため、継続してレッスンを受けようと思います。レッスン後に朗読の音声と詳細なノートもいただけるので何度も聞いて復習もでき大変ありがたいです。私は緊張しやすいのですが、先生の雰囲気とご配慮でリラックスできています。先生は教えることがお好きなんだろな、ということが伝わってきます。フランス語を通してフランス文化に触れていたい、という私の希望にぴったりの先生だと思っています。

映画のセリフを日本語に直す授業ですが、教科書にはなかなか出てこない韓国語らしい表現を学べます。セリフなので、その時の気持ちまで想像しながら、訳すのはまだ難しいですが先生が上手に導いてくれるので楽しいです。フィードバックも充実しているので、復習がしやすい点も気に入っています。
