Mika-sensei's 25-minute beginner Japanese lesson is just the right length to avoid feeling overwhelmed but also to make solid progress. I've been taking this lesson weekly for the past few months and have noticed a huge improvement in my Japanese speaking skill and confidence. The lesson pack offers excellent value for those who are serious learners. I'm always impressed by Mika-sensei's warmth and her gentle, friendly manner, which makes me feel comfortable and at ease. She patiently waits for me to answer whenever I am stuck, which I appreciate so much! On top of all this, she uses excellent materials that allow me to practice new grammar points thoroughly, and to work at a steady pace. She also has a great ear, always bringing my attention to mistakes not only in my grammar but also my pronunciation - which is hugely important for an English learner of Japanese like me. I only started with this lesson recently, but the first session already motivated me a lot and made me want to keep studying with Lissa moving forward. She made the material for this lesson herself, and even adapts it to each student - including personalized audio material! レッスンは厳しいけれどとても楽しいです。しばらく挫折していて久しぶりのレッスンでも、先生は「そんなことあるよね」と許容範囲(？)なので、「もう少し、もう一度頑張ろうかな」と改心してしまいます。なかなか進歩しないし私の話すイタリア語には変な癖もあるけれども、それでも一つ一つ丁寧に教えてくださる忍耐強さ。通訳をされたりと素晴らしい先生なのですが、とても気さくでレッスン内容以外のイタリア語の質問もOKとお心も広いです。本当にもっと早く先生に出会いたかったです。

韓国語、日本語のちゃんぽんレッスンですが、こちらの言葉をすぐにキャッチして韓国語で教えてくれます。会話の場合、その場で教えておしまいの先生もいますが、dongdongi先生は会話で教えてくれた韓国語をフィードバックしてくれ、とても生徒思いの先生です。私のK-POPの話にも付き合ってくれたり、サイン会の成功を一緒に喜んでくれたりとレッスンを受けていて、気持ちが良いです。人柄が最高ですよ。

最近、先生と読む3冊目の本でのレッスンが始まりました。今回も先生と相談しながら本を選びましたが、最初の頃は難し過ぎて読めなかった小説も、今ではほとんど辞書を使わずに大体の内容が理解できる程度になりました。発音も直されることが少なくなったので、先生との意見交換に時間をかけられ、韓国語の上達を感じます。これからも先生と一緒に楽しく韓国語の勉強を続けていきたいと思います。
