He always provides wonderful cooking lessons. 月に１回のペースでレッスンしていただくようになり、１年が経ちました。５０分のレッスンを姉と弟でシェアし、しかも月に１回なのですが、２人とも、驚くほど上手くなりました。先生のアドバイスがとても分かりやすい、と子どもたちが言っています。そして私が横からレッスンを見ていて思うのが、先生の引き出しが多いこと！一つのやり方を試してみてあまりうまくいかなければ、じゃ、こうやってみよう、と、すぐに他の方法に切り替えて下さります。そして、これが一番大事なことなのですが、子どもたちがピアノを楽しく弾けることを第一に考えて下さっているのも、とても伝わってきます。

　シルビア先生は話題が豊富で、日常のことからメキシコや日本の文化、政治のことまで語学力に合わせた会話ができ、50分のレッスンがあっという間に終わります。かれこれ5年くらい週1～2回レッスンを受けていますが、飽きることなく、ほかの先生に浮気することもなく、今後も続けていけそうです。
